Hold needle with stitches in your left hand. For the knit stitch, working yarn is held in your left hand and in back of the work.

Insert your right hand needle from bottom to top; into the stitch (the tips of your needles will form an “X”).

Use your left index finger to wrap strand of yarn (in a counter-clockwise motion) around right hand needle.

Bring yarn through stitch with right hand needle and pull loop off of left hand needle.

You now have one complete knit stitch on your right hand needle. Continue until end of row or as pattern directs.
